Sanae Sugimoto is an illustrator based in Kyoto, Japan. Her work uses traditional Japanese orange and black inks and fine pen work to create beautifully detailed illustrations.

This 1000 piece, 25" (63.5 cm) square puzzle features Sanae's Evening Kingdom illustration. This narrative piece depicts themes common throughout much of her work such as girls, flowers and animals. Like all of her illustrations, Evening Kingdom is full of thought and wonder.

The difficulty level of this puzzle is medium. Working with only two colour inks adds a challenging aspect to this puzzle, but the variation in imagery makes this puzzle interesting and achievable.
